Shinjini Mehta has about 15 years of experience in planning, design, implementation and management of urban infrastructure projects and urban governance initiatives across South Asia, Vietnam, Africa, Pacific region, and the UK. She is an Infrastructure Specialist in the Pacific Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), based in the Vanuatu office. Prior to joining ADB in 2014, she was involved in the implementation of externally funded programs for improved water and sanitation services in Maputo, Mozambique and supported the development of integrated master plans for sustainable city-wide water, sanitation and drainage infrastructure in 4 African cities (Lagos, Kinshasa, Lusaka and Maputo). She started her career as a project architect in India where she managed and executed public sector infrastructure projects for the Commonwealth games in Delhi. She is passionate about integrated infrastructure solutions and holds a master’s degree in Urban Development Planning from University College London
